Our Purpose

Allegiance
We see a church where every member is totally committed to serve the Lord Jesus Christ, whatever form that service takes, and whose allegiance is first and foremost to the Lord, above self and above the group.  We see a church whose members demonstrate their allegiance to God by the way they live and the way the talk.  (Luke 8:4-15, 14:25-33, Revelation 2:1-7, Matthew 6:24)

Personal Growth
We see a church which recognizes that the life of a disciple is one of continuous growth; a group which encourages making and living out choices based on God's priorities, which is willing to follow after truth rather than tradition and current understanding, and which welcomes and fosters open dialogue in pursuit of truth.  We see a group that accepts each other even with differences of maturity and understanding.  (Ephesians 4:11-16, 4:31-32, Colossians 1:9-12, 3:4, 8-14, Romans 14)

Family
We see a church that accepts and welcomes into its fellowship every baptized believer who is committed to serving the Lord, regardless of spiritual maturity; a group where the members truly love each other, as demonstrated in their actions, and where they know and mutually depend on each other.  (Romans 12:10, 15:1-7, Philippians 2:1-4, 1 Thessalonians 4:9-10, 1 John 3:16-18, Galatians 6:2)

Mutual Edification
We see a church where each member knows the value of learning from each other, where everyone actively seeks both to teach and to learn, and where individuals are built up through interactions with others in the group.  We see a church that has total confidence in God and His word for guidance - yet humbly admits it does not have all the answers.  (Acts 18:24-26, Hebrews 10:24-25, 1 Corinthians 11-14, Romans 15:14)

Involvement
We see a church that knows every member has an essential role in the church, where those who are mature understand and exercise good leadership; a group whose members assertively work to fulfill their roles, both in and out of the assembly, seeking to build up the church by encouraging the active participation of all. (Romans 12:3-16, 1 Corinthians 12:14-27, 1 Timothy 2:8-15, 4:12, 5:1-6, Titus 2:1-8)

Evangelism
We see a church that reaches out warmly and assertively to those in our community and around the world with a genuine desire for all to willingly honor Jesus as the Christ and their Lord. (Acts 8:4, 1 Thessalonians 1:6-8, Philippians 1:3-5, 4:10-18, Matthew 28:18-20)
